King's OMFS Lecture

Miss Kathy Fan (King’s Maxillofacial) has organised a 1 hour lecture this week targeted at anyone pre-registrar. Details as follows:

Topic: Maxillofacial Emergencies 
Location:    Denmark Hill SE5 9RS
                    Dental Institute, Floor 3 Lecture Theatre. 
                    Access via the side entrance to Day Surgery Unit on Caldecot road (via intercom)
Social gathering before/after with drinks and pizza

Topics covered:
1. Airway and abscesses - red flag signs and symptoms
2. Retrobulbar haemorrhage -identification and initial management
3. Bleeding post trauma - what can be done in ED, what needs to go to theatre

ECMC Liverpool Immunotherapy Symposium

The ECMC (Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre) meeting in Liverpool seeks to provide all the necessary background, evidence and clinical use for Immunotherapy in head and neck cancer and would be of use to trainees of all levels. This new drug modality has the potential to be a game changer in the treatment of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

It is on Friday the 16th March, 2018.

The rate for trainees has been kept at £80 to try and ensure this meeting is of interest to all.
